Life

Life hasn’t been easy
And I know it wasn’t meant to be
But somewhere deep within
I want it to so be!

That was my fault
That was my downfall
To want anything so easy
Should never have been my call

Life is tough
It is meant to be that way
But I can’t be soft
Because that’s not a winner’s pathway

Life has punched me down
Right down to my knees
I’m scratched and torn down
Nowhere can I find peace

But hold on
I can still get up
Crawl, walk and even run
Because bruises are meant to be healed
And life is meant to be won!!

Comparison

You don’t want to compare your position in someone’s life with someone else, because you know for a fact that you aren’t even close to being as important.

But ultimately you do.

And that’s when it HURTS!

Culprit

I wait here,

In the midst of nothing;

Waiting for spurs of brightness,

That’s nowhere to be seen.

Emptiness fills the heart with grief and uncertainty,

I have tickled the truth and lie here as casualty.

Although I feel like a culprit, waiting to be forgiven,

But deep down I know, you shouldn’t be hurt is all I meant.

Loved Ones

Nothing really matters if you don’t have your loved ones to be with you.

You may be having everything going your way, be it your career, your passion, your goals, your dreams etc., but nothing will make you happy if the ones you love are not there to see it.

We all want those few people to be with us during our good times, to see our success, to appreciate us for what we have done. Because this is who we are. We are humans. We long for appreciating and validation from people that matter to us.

So, no matter what you do, no matter how big your goals and aspirations and dreams are, never compromise your loved ones for those aspiration. Because, at the end of the day, you might have everything you ever wanted, but if you don’t have your family and friends around you, NOTHING WILL MATTER!

If you think something is tough, you are having a wrong perspective!

Most often we consider certain things as tough. But have we ever asked ourselves the question of why we perceive that thing as tough? The thing is, we consider those things as tough, about which we have no idea of how it is done.

Let me give you some examples. If we think that mathematics is tough, then there are mathematicians, who do mathematics for fun. It’s as simple as drinking water for them. If we think playing basketball is tough, Michael Jordan finds it extremely easy.

Let’s go deeper into it. If you are a cricketer and you find playing the pull shot as a tough one, look at Ricky Ponting, he used to play that shot like it was bread and breakfast for him.

So where am I going with this?

We find things tough because we don’t have enough knowledge to do those things. We will never find anything tough that we are good at. If you are good at cooking, then cooking won’t be tough to you. But it is tough to me, because I can’t cook. So, it’s all relative.

Nothing is tough. It’s just how we look at it with the lack of our knowledge on that subject. Everything is easy for someone or the other.

So, how do we get to make something easy for us that we think is tough? For this, we need to have 2 very important things – Love and Knowledge.

If we love something dearly, we will always have the urge to learn it. And when we learn about it, it gets easier for us. The more we practice learning that, the easier it will get. Because, you are gaining more knowledge on that topic.

Suppose you have passion for playing guitar. At the beginning it will be tough, but the more you practice, the easier it is going to get for you.

Therefore, nothing is actually tough. We just don’t know stuff, which makes us believe that something is tough.

So, from the next time you find something that seems tough to you, gather some knowledge on that, and you will find it getting easier.

But at the same stage, if you don’t love something, you won’t have the drive to learn it for a longer period of time. So ultimately, it will stay tough for you.

As I said, it’s all relative!

Cheers!!
