Failure!

When you fail, everyone around you starts reminding you of the mistakes you have done over and over and over again.

It’s not like you don’t know that already; but people like reminding you of that because at that time you can’t reply. Or maybe you don’t want to respond. Because you already have had so much of these thoughts already played out in your own head that people’s reminder of the same only builds up more frustration and anger within you.

It makes you feel like you have made all the wrong choices there were to make. Like you did the worst you could. As if you don’t realise the mistakes. As if you are carefree.

But the truth is, you are already drowning thinking about how could you possibly fail? How could you make so many wrong choices? How? And just how?

These things make you numb. These things create sadness. These things make you feel like a loser. And people’s reiterations confirm that in your head – that you FAILED!

But have you though? Have you given up? Have you lost hope? Have you run out of plans? Have you run out of options? Have you lost the spark? Have you lost the experience? Have you lost the ability? Have you lost the zeal? Have you lost the gratitude? Have you lost your way?

If not, then you’re not done yet! Not yet!

Buckle up! Because things are going to take a turbulent turn.

‘Cause when a ‘failure’ comes for what he deserves, he snatches it!

You’re not a failure. You are just delayed MAGNIFICENCE!

A Lesson Learnt!

Coming back to my blog after almost 1.5 to 2 years, it feels great. But I’m not feeling great at all. The reason is, I have learnt a tough lesson and I wanted to share it with you all.

“Never keep high expectations from something you don’t know much about”

Recently, I started trading in stock market (Options Index) and I got hold of a broker through one of my friends. At that point of time, I was doing quite well financially. Thinking trading would bring me some quick money, I jumped at the opportunity. Although I wasn’t expecting too much returns. With a capital of ₹14,000 I started trading.

Fast forward 3 weeks, and I have ₹1,70,000 in my DEMAT account. Life was over the moon, confidence was touching the sky. I felt like I could be a crorepati in months.

Fast forward 3 days, I had ₹20,000 in my DEMAT account.

I lost ₹1,20,000 in 3 days and had withdrawn the remaining to furnish my newly bought car.

For 2 weeks I didn’t trade. But a part of me became dependent on trading. So I came back, determined to earn more and save this time.

Fast forward to current date, I have ₹4000 in my DEMAT.

In these 3 months, I became so dependent on trading, that I was expecting to pay my bills through its income. And now I have literally nothing.

I just realised, that the thing I love doing (Teaching) and the thing I am a professional at (Counselling) have taken a back seat, just because I was expecting something huge from a niche I wasn’t even aware of 3 months back.

The message of this post is to let you remind that you all have a special talent or skill that you have been working on throughout your career. And suddenly you get distracted by something that can bring you quick money or give you instant fame or whatever fancy it is in your life. And then you fail. You fail because you start expecting too much from a field that you know nothing about.

If you ever face that situation, STOP!! Take a moment, think, give your skills priority and take the step. Learn the new field, practice and then if you feel you’re good enough, take the LEAP!!

I have made a mistake, but I believe I’ve learnt something more valuable than the money I lost.

Yes, I’ll come back to trading. But this time, with knowledge. Easy money doesn’t last. But thankfully for me, I still have ₹4000 to save 😉.

So, as I said, NEVER KEEP HIGH EXPECTATIONS OF SOMETHING YOU KNOW DON’T KNOW MUCH ABOUT!

Comparison

You don’t want to compare your position in someone’s life with someone else, because you know for a fact that you aren’t even close to being as important.

But ultimately you do.

And that’s when it HURTS!

How to fight through tough circumstances?

Have you ever been in a situation where you felt like you are completely out of your comfort zone and no one around you is supportive of what you are doing? Yes, we all have been there. This is the time we mostly quit and set ourselves back to our comfortable lifestyle.

But this is not the right thing to do. And we all know it. So how to fight through that? How to be motivated during those situations?

Well one of my friends once told me a quote, which I have posted in my Instagram account, which says, “Never say Why Me? Always say Try Me!” And this is such a motivation booster that we don’t realise until we actually utter this from our mouth.

Just try this – Whenever you are in tough circumstances, just look around yourself, smile and tell the Universe “Try Me!!” And things will drastically change. You will feel more confident and even thrilled to be in a situation like this because now you can show your true power to the Universe.

So why does this happen?

Whenever we say stuff like this, we become more aware of our strengths and forget our weaknesses. And that is what makes us perform better and be more productive. There is this famous saying that always focus on your strengths and not weaknesses. And this is the ultimate deal. If you want to win, concentrate on what you can do best and execute it.

That’s how winning is done!!

P.S. – A special thanks to my friend Samyak Aditya for providing me with the theme of this post.

Cheers!!

Today’s goodness #4

A bowler bowls a lot of deliveries in his spell. He may get hit for boundaries and sixes. But in order to win the battle against the batsman, he just needs one good delivery to get him out.

Similarly, you keep on taking many attempts towards your goal. You make mistakes. You fail a lot of times. But always remember, you just need one RIGHT step to reach greatness.

So, never stop trying. Your good delivery is on the way.

5 life lessons from PUBG

WINNER WINNER CHICKEN DINNER!!

You must be wondering, who is this fucking asshole that is trying to find out life lessons from a Video Game? Well, I can’t help myself but do it. There are so many things that we can take from PUBG and apply it into our lives.

So without wasting any of your valuable PUBG playing time, let’s jump right into it (pull the parachute at the right time).

1. Don’t be the greedy Pochinki lander:

You are all familiar with the guys who are just crazy of landing in Pochinki in order to earn a lot of loots and kills. But in the greed of earning a lot of kills, most of the times they get killed at the very starting of the game.

Similarly, don’t get greedy (maybe land in Primosk ;p). Once the time is right, you will eventually reach your Pochinki of life and you will get your kills. So be patient. Don’t go the game, let the game come to you man.

2. First loot and then kill

Without any loot, how many guys can you kill with your punch?? So it’s always advisable to get a good amount of loot and then rush for the kills.

In the same way in your life, prepare yourselves with all the necessary skills in your life so that when the right time comes, you can rush towards your goals and no one can stop you from reaching there.

3. Get hold of a scope, it helps!

Well finding a 4X or 8X scope gives you a real push ahead in the game.

Likewise, having a long term vision of your life helps you organise your life in a certain way that lets you reach your goals without any distractions. It allows you to have a clear vision of the path lying ahead of you. Go for the long term goals, not the short term ones.

4. Every 100 individuals in the game believes they can win

This is the only reason why people play this game. We may lose 10 games in a streak, but we still play the 11th one with the belief that we can win.

Apply this self belief in your lives. People fail once and then never try again because they stop believing in themselves. Take inspiration from the game. Even though you keep on losing you still pump yourself up to play the next game. And then when you win, you reap the rewards of your belief.

Do this in your life. Life will hit you hard every single time, knock you out and you may not find anyone close by to revive you back up. Don’t lose hope at that point of time. Try again. Fail again. Fail better. But ultimately you will taste success. And that success my friends, will be beautiful AF.

5. Winner winner chicken dinner!!!

Well when you reach your success, make sure you enjoy it. And your chicken dinner will taste even better when you work hard for it.

Thus, the lessons that we have learnt are to have a clear long term vision, not to be greedy, holding on to your opportunities, preparing a strong foundation, believing in yourself and working hard.

So, go out there, kill some ass, and find your glory. Because everyone has the potential to win. It’s just how you apply yourself that finally leads you to the end result.

Cheers!!
