The month of Celebration

What’s your favorite month of the year? Why?

That would undoubtedly be December for me.

The reasons are pretty straightforward. On this month I have my birthday, my girlfriend’s birthday, our anniversary and of course New Year’s Eve.

Those are SOME events to have in a single month.

Yes, I know you might be thinking about Christmas, but we don’t really have huge celebrations on Christmas. Yeah we go to churches, but the celebration is not huge.

This month does empty the pocket, but the fun is totally worth it.

India Vs Australia, CWC Final 2023

What happened on the night of 23rd March, 2003 has been of unforgettable pain and regret. When Australia scored 359/2 and bowled India out for 234, with Zaheer Khan getting caught by Lehmann at the short pitched ball from McGrath, everything fell so silent. The streets that were dancing and cheering, went numb. India had lost a World Cup Final to the greatest ever Australian side to ever exist.

2003 World Cup Winning Moment

20 years into the future, and here we are! Seems like the roles have reversed. India now seem to have the strongest ever World Cup side ever to exist and Australia seem to have struggled their way to the Finals.

From 2003, I always wished that some day, some fine day, we would again meet the Aussies in a World Cup Final, and return the favours in our own style.

This might be the greatest opportunity for India to make it up for what Ganguly’s men couldn’t achieve. Let’s hope Rohit finishes the job Ganguly started! Let’s beat the Aussies!

After all this time

After all these efforts

After all these sacrifices,

Compromises

After all those hard times

After all those sleepless nights

After giving it all I had

After loving her keeping all at end

She felt nothing!

Just disappointment

Just grief

Just tears on her cheeks

Just aches in her heart

Just pain in her soul

That’s all she felt.

That’s all that’s left!

‘After all this time?’ I asked

‘Always’ she replied!
